Top Analyst Says XRP Will Break Out of This Triangle Within 24 Hours
Crypto analyst Dark Defender (@DefendDark) has identified a key technical setup on XRP’s daily chart. The asset is trading at approximately $1.52. According to his analysis, the next 24 hours will determine the direction of the next significant move.
The chart shows a symmetrical triangle forming after XRP’s sharp rally from its Wave (5) low near $0.9852. The asset rallied strongly into the $1.69 area. This pump happened in late August and formed Wave (1). XRP then pulled back in a corrective structure to Wave (2) near the $1.30 range.
Since then, price has been compressing between converging trendlines, with higher lows meeting lower highs. A more recent rally pushed the asset toward the top of the triangle, but the consolidation continued. The current price sits right at the apex of that triangle.
What the Chart Shows
Dark Defender’s chart maps Fibonacci retracement levels across the recent price structure. The key support levels are 50.00% ($1.2939), 61.80% ($1.3798), and 70.20% ($1.4445). XRP is currently pressing against the 85.40% level. The resistance above the current price and potential targets are 85.40% ($1.5692) and 161.80% ($1.8815).
The chart also marks the recent peak of $1.6992. Dark Defender highlighted the current price area and the RSI panel, connecting price action to momentum. The RSI sits at 58.11, currently in neutral-to-bullish territory. It is neither overbought nor oversold. This gives XRP room to move in either direction.
The chart shows a potential bullish cross formation with the RSI retesting its signal line from below. Dark Defender’s chart highlights this level with a matching green circle in the RSI panel. The RSI has cooled significantly from its earlier peak above 70 following the initial Wave (1) rally, but a bullish crossover could confirm a positive momentum shift.
The Levels to Watch
The blue trajectory on the chart projects a move toward $1.8815, the 161.80% Fibonacci extension, if XRP breaks out of the symmetrical triangle to the upside. That target represents a gain of roughly 24% from the current price.
The white trendline rising from the macro Wave (5) low acts as the triangle’s support. A hold above this line keeps the bullish case intact. Dark Defender described the setup as a 24-hour decision, indicating the triangle resolution is imminent. Traders are watching $1.5692 and $1.6992 as key resistance levels to clear for a confirmed breakout toward the $1.8815 target.
