Sector Update: Financial Stocks Advance Premarket Tuesday
MT newswire2026/10/06 13:2209:22 AM EDT, 10/06/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Financial stocks were advancing premarket Tuesday, with the State Street Financial Select Sector SPDR ETF (XLF) 0.3% higher. The Direxion Daily Financial Bull 3X Shares (FAS) was up 1.1% and its bearish counterpart Direxion Daily Financial Bear 3X Shares (FAZ) was 0.9% lower. Tradeweb Markets (TW) said its average daily volume for September was $3.7 trillion, up 29% from a year earlier. Tradeweb Markets stock was down more than 4% pre-bell. HSBC (HSBC) and Ant International expanded their collaboration to improve real-time treasury management services in the Middle East, the companies said. Shares of HSBC were up more than 1% premarket. Blackstone (BX) agreed to sell B2B events operator Clarion to Informa for an enterprise value of 2.24 billion British pounds ($2.96 billion), Informa said. Blackstone shares were 0.4% higher pre-bell.
