Expert: XRP Bigger Rally Comes After This Structure Is Ready
The 21 EMA has guided XRP through multiple major cycles. Now it may be setting up the biggest move yet. Crypto analyst EGRAG CRYPTO (@egragcrypto) published a detailed technical breakdown of XRP on the 2-week timeframe. He said the asset is currently sitting at a historically significant inflection point.
The analysis centers on XRP’s relationship with the 21 EMA across multiple market cycles. The analyst compares current price behavior and patterns that preceded previous major rallies.
How the 21 EMA Cycle Works
EGRAG CRYPTO identifies a repeating four-stage structure in XRP’s price history. The sequence moves through Stage 1 at the cycle peak, Stage 2 during the initial decline, Stage 3 in a period of compression or consolidation, and Stage 4 as a final shakeout before the 21 EMA reclaims and expansion begins.
This structure has completed twice on the 2-week chart, once following the 2018 peak and again after the 2021 cycle. Both instances resolved with significant upward moves once Stage 4 completed.
Where XRP Sits Today
EGRAG CRYPTO states that XRP is currently at or near Stage 3. The yellow 21 EMA line on the chart shows price pressing against it from below after a corrective sequence. The analyst notes, “I believe we could be sitting around STAGE 3 again and waiting for stage 4.”
He adds that buyers should not be surprised “if we still need a little more consolidation or even another dip before the real expansion begins.”
Key Price Levels to Watch
The analysis maps out a clear Fibonacci structure. For the near term, $1.67 sits at the 0.786 retracement and acts as the immediate breakout level. $2.40 corresponds to the 0.888 retracement. $3.57 marks the 1.0 level and acts as the major breakout zone.
Beyond those, the macro extension targets carry significantly higher projections. The 1.272 extension targets $9.36. The 1.414 extension targets $15.47. The 1.618 extension reaches the highest target of $31.87.
The Preferred Sequence
EGRAG CRYPTO outlines a specific progression he expects the chart to follow. Stage 3 leads into a shakeout or consolidation period. That resolves into Stage 4. The 21 EMA then reclaims, followed by expansion. He clarifies that “the fractal doesn’t need to repeat candle-for-candle,” and that the key requirement is simply that the 21 EMA performs its job again.

Bitcoin Returns Reliant on Major Days -- Market Talk
1105 ET - Bitcoin's strong year-over-year returns are more linked to single days of strong moves, according to Zach Pandl of Grayscale in a note. Pandl says removing bitcoin's five best trading days reduces its three-year return from 225% to 95%, with the return falling to 27% without its 10 best days. If you remove the top fifteen days, it turns a three-year gain into an 11% loss. By comparison, removing the Nasdaq's fifteen best days reduces its cumulative return from 109% to 21%. "Given BTC's return and volatility profile, investors looking for long-term capital appreciation can avoid trying to time the market and instead seek consistent, long-term exposure to the asset," Pandl says. Bitcoin is down 0.2% to $85,610, while ethereum falls 0.2% to $2,701. (kirk.maltais@wsj.com) (END) Dow Jones Newswires October 05, 2026 11:05 ET (15:05 GMT)
