(1) The following are freight rates for European barges and short-sea shipping, quoted in euros per ton. Data are based on Hamburg local time, 1:00 p.m. The baseline covers routes from Rotterdam to German ports, as well as from German ports to ports including Amsterdam, Rotterdam, and Ghent.(2) From the east coast of the UK to Portugal, approximately €22.5; to Oldenburg, approximately €19; to the north coast of Spain, approximately €21.(3) From the Baltic Sea region of Germany to the ARA region, about €18; to Portugal, about €28; to the west coast of Italy, about €48; to Greece, about €70.(4) From the Baltic Sea region of Germany to the UK east coast, about €19; to the UK west coast, about €24; to the north coast of Spain, about €24; to the south coast of Spain, about €33.(5) Additional charges for shipments from German inland ports to Antwerp, Ghent, and Roeselare are approximately €0.5, €0.75, and €1.5 per ton, respectively. Low water surcharges are to be confirmed separately.
