Sweetgreen Uses Wraps, Promotions to Combat Food Safety Worries -- Market Talk

1158 ET - The cyclosporiasis outbreak has made Sweetgreen's customer base skittish, but the restaurant is leaning into promotions and wraps to build demand, said Morgan Stanley analysts in a research note. The analysts said that wraps are helping frequency, but they are yet to be as successful as they were in tests. SweetGreen saw improving trends among GenZ and lower income customers because of more accessible options. The analysts said the salad chain's redesigned create-your-own pricing structure could also help improve value perception and simplify the ordering experience to bring in more customers.(grace.yoon@wsj.com)
