Glonghui, May 11 – Semiconductor stocks rose in US pre-market trading and are expected to continue their upward trend, after several chip stocks closed at record highs last Friday. The latest rally has been mainly driven by investors' sustained enthusiasm for building artificial intelligence infrastructure. Notable stocks with strong pre-market performance include: Intel up 6.9%, Micron Technology up 3.3%, AMD up 2.5%, and Qualcomm up 1.7%. This rally in semiconductor stocks has also spread to Asian markets: Asian chip stocks have surged to all-time highs, extending the global tech stock rally.
