Cryptocurrency Marketplace STOKR Raises $7.98 Million in Funding
The latest round of equity funding for European cryptocurrency marketplace STOKR was led by Fulgur Ventures on Oct. 24, consisting of 100 BTC ($6.78 million) and €1.2 million in cash for a total of €7.4 million ($7.98 million). The company said in a press release on Thursday that it plans to follow MicroStrategy's lead and aggressively expand its new bitcoin vault in the coming years. In addition to the Bitcoin Vault, the goal is to launch new Bitcoin-based tokenized assets and build infrastructure to simplify institutional tokenization on native Bitcoin Layer 2 technologies like Liquid Network.
