Helium is a decentralized wireless hotspot network that provides public and remote wireless coverage for IoT devices that support LoRaWAN. Hotspots are generated and compensated through the native cryptocurrency HNT of the Helium blockchain. Today, the Helium blockchain and its hundreds of thousands of hotspots provide access to the LoRaWAN network.

On September 1st, Helium publicly reviewed August on official media. Helium launched a new energy network in August and reported that its mobile network supports up to 15TB of traffic per day. In addition, @helium_mobile operator has expanded its service to Puerto Rico. At the same time, the community passed the HIP-128 proposal, marking further development of the Helium ecosystem.
