After Two Weeks of Major Gains and Market Corrections, Are 5 Altcoins Ready for Another Post-FOMC Rally?

  • Interest rate expectations and liquidity could influence altcoin performance.
  • SUI, RAY, SOL, ZEC, and NEAR may respond differently to changing market conditions.
  • Potential 100% to 200% gains are speculative and require strong buying pressure.

The next Federal Open Market Committee (FOMC) decision could become a key event for the cryptocurrency market. After two weeks of strong gains followed by widespread corrections, traders are watching for signs of another altcoin rally. SUI, Raydium (RAY), Solana (SOL), Zcash (ZEC), and NEAR Protocol are among the assets attracting attention ahead of the next potential market move.

The recent price action has boosted the hopes of renewed activity on altcoins. But a comparable result is not always the case. Factors such as interest rate sentiment, liquidity, Bitcoin’s price trajectory, and investor appetite may shape the market reaction to the upcoming decision.

Other traders think this is going to be another great swing and are expecting a 100% to 200% increase. This would necessitate strong buying demand and market conditions. If key levels of support are maintained, the recent correction could prove to be a springboard to recovery. Still, continued selling can be expected if the economy doesn’t live up to investors’ expectations, or investor appetite is dampened.

SUI Faces a Test as Altcoin Momentum Returns

Traders may look for a recovery after the FOMC meeting among tokens, such as SUI. The next move will be influenced somewhat by market sentiment and whether buyers are able to hold back key support levels. If it continues to improve, it will probably draw new investors, but if it fails, the correction could be further extended. Trading volume and price structure could assist in confirming either scenario.

Raydium Could Benefit From a Solana Ecosystem Recovery

The decentralized exchange protocol Raydium (RAY) in the Solana ecosystem may react to the activity changes on the network. These tokens might gain more traction if there is an increase in SOL trading volume and a rise in SOL performance. An uptick in SOL trading volume and a rise in SOL performance could boost interest in related tokens. Ray would still require buying interest to breakout of the nearby resistance, though. The general recovery in the stock market does not necessarily lead to higher prices.

Solana Remains Important to the Altcoin Outlook

Another coin to keep an eye on is Solana (SOL), which is expected to be more resilient in the face of the FOMC’s decision. Sentiment toward other Solana projects might be affected by its performance. If the price moves above resistance with increased volume, this may be a sign of better momentum. On the other hand, if SOL keeps failing to recover, it may dampen efforts to revive its ecosystem.

Zcash and NEAR Depend on Broader Market Conditions

With the announcement of the policy, Zcash (ZEC) may be seen again if the capitalization of selected altcoins starts to recover. It will have to be established whether buyers are getting into the game. NEAR Protocol (NEAR) is another asset to be monitored as analysts analyze the asset’s support and resistance levels, as well as trading volume. Until there is greater clarity, both assets are uncertain.

What Traders May Watch After the FOMC Decision

The magnitude of the post-FOMC rally will be determined by the policy decision and market response. Traders can zero in on Bitcoin’s trend and trading volume, along with liquidity and if key altcoins are able to take out previous resistance levels. The previous rally is a reference, but not a good predictor.

An increase of 100-200% is a possibility, but not a certainty. A confirmation by price and length of the demand would be more convincing evidence of a recovery. For now, the five altcoins are still not showing signs of breaking out and are more like market-watch candidates.

Wall Street "ponders" Walsh's speech: suggests further rate hikes, but not by much

At a press conference, Walsh, backed by strong economic data (GDP over 3%, double-digit investment growth), refused to characterize current financial conditions as "tight," which the market interpreted as an indication that further rate hikes are still needed, although likely to a limited extent. Despite two internal dissenting votes, a hawkish committee member voted in favor, suggesting that most expect a catch-up hike in December. The futures market has already priced in one rate increase each in December and next March.
