The XRP BlackRock Moment. Here’s What This Top Investor Says

TimesTabloidTimesTabloid2026/10/25 06:06

Digital Asset Investor (digitalassetbuy), a prominent voice in the XRP community, recently posted about an interview featuring Max Stein, Director of Digital Assets at BlackRock. He is drawing a direct line between the BlackRock executive’s public remarks and XRP’s next major chapter.

Stein’s Comments

The interview, conducted by Jacquelyn Melinek of Talking Tokens, turned toward the question of blockchain use cases. The XRP army has had its eyes on Stein as he is set to speak at Ripple Swell 2026. Stein’s answer covered more ground than a standard institutional talking point.

He said BlackRock sees growing interest around stablecoins, tokenization, and agentic payments. He then added a key qualifier: “it’s agnostic to the blockchain.” His position is that whatever network ends up as the foundation for those use cases will be the beneficiary of the attention that follows.

Stein did not name XRP, but Digital Asset Investor’s stance suggests he did not need to. The logic he described applies directly to what Ripple has built.

Connecting the Dots

Digital Asset Investor offered a direct translation of Stein’s comments. “You’re going to see the XRP BlackRock moment,” he wrote. That reading resonates in the XRP community because BlackRock has historically concentrated its crypto activity on Bitcoin and Ethereum. The firm launched spot ETFs for both assets.

XRP has not had that moment yet, but rumors have been circulating of BlackRock’s plans for an XRP ETF. Digital Asset Investor’s position is that Stein’s blockchain-agnostic stance signals a shift toward XRP is coming.

The Institutional Lens

Stein’s comments show how large institutions currently evaluate blockchain infrastructure. The technology is secondary to the use case. If stablecoins and tokenized assets scale on a particular network, that network gains institutional relevance regardless of its history or previous positioning.

XRP and the XRP Ledger are built specifically for payments, cross-border settlement, and tokenization. Experts have argued that people will use XRP without knowing. Ripple has pursued regulatory clarity in the U.S. and expanded its institutional partnerships globally. The infrastructure Stein described is already operational on XRPL.

BlackRock has not made any public moves toward XRP. However, Stein’s scheduled appearance at Swell puts one of the most powerful asset managers on earth in the same room as Ripple’s leadership. Digital Asset Investor believes the moment is approaching, and this appearance could start a major conversation.
