07:11 AM EDT, 10/21/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Nvidia (NVDA) said Wednesday European automakers including Mercedes-Benz, Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles and Volvo Cars are building automated-driving systems and robotaxis on its Hyperion computing platform. Ride-hailing firm Bolt picked Nvidia's Alpamayo Stack software for a program using future Lucid (LCID) vehicles built on Hyperion, with a planned European rollout of at least 25,000 Level 4-capable vehicles. Bolt plans to begin gathering data in Madrid in 2027, Nvidia said. Volvo will pair Hyperion with Nvidia's Alpamayo driving software and Halos safety system, while Einride is using the platform for autonomous freight trucks, Nvidia said. Shares of the company were up 1.6% in Wednesday premarket activity.
