Glonghui, October 21 | According to IT Home, some data centers under Amazon Web Services (AWS) are facing power capacity bottlenecks, causing the ordered rack-level AI computing systems to be unable to go live on schedule. In August this year, AWS expected to receive about $3 billion worth of racks each month. Sources reveal that some of these devices can only be temporarily stored in warehouses due to insufficient power supply. AWS is closely monitoring the power supply progress of its data centers and using various methods to accelerate power readiness. AWS has also adjusted its previous "payment upon delivery" practice, acquiring ownership of the racks early in the supply chain. This helps AWS secure computing resources, but also means it must bear losses caused by delays in putting the racks into operation.
