Snap Names Robert Downey Jr. as Honorary Chief Customer Experience Officer for SPECS

10:37 AM EDT, 10/20/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Snap (SNAP) said Tuesday it named actor Robert Downey Jr. as honorary chief customer experience officer for SPECS, its augmented reality glasses unit. Downey will work on new content, product features and experiences for the glasses, the company said. His first project is a series of original episodes testing the glasses, now available on the SPECS website and YouTube, Snap added. The partnership will make its broadcast debut Tuesday during the New York Knicks-Philadelphia 76ers Tip-Off game, while an original episode will air during Game 1 of the World Series on Friday, according to the statement.
