Market Chatter: CAVU Consumer Partners' Oza Sees Public Markets Correcting Richly Valued Private Firms

MT newswireMT newswire2026/10/19 23:03
07:03 PM EDT, 10/19/2026 (MT Newswires) -- CAVU Consumer Partners co-founder Rohan Oza expects public markets to act as a corrector for private companies with lofty valuations, Bloomberg reported Monday, citing an interview with Oza at a New York Diwali party on Saturday. Oza said private equity valuations have become unhinged because investors face pressure to deploy capital, according to the report. He predicted a few standout winners such as SpaceX and Anthropic, in which he has exposure, while many other companies will be washed out as public markets impose discipline, the report said. Anjula Acharia, founder of A-Series Investments and Management, also cautioned about hype in private markets, the report said, citing remarks at the event. Data center developer Anita Verma-Lallian, founder of Arizona Land Consulting, said many large projects are likely to be delayed by land, power and zoning constraints, Bloomberg said.
