Alcoa (AA) shares were up 2.7% in Friday trading, a day after the company reported Q3 adjusted earnings that topped analyst expectations. The company posted quarterly adjusted earnings of $1.82 per diluted share, compared with a loss of $0.02 a year earlier. Analysts polled by FactSet expected $1.51. Revenue for the quarter ended Sept. 30 rose to $3.70 billion from $3.0 billion a year earlier. Analysts expected $3.77 billion. Price: 41.53, Change: +1.11, Percent Change: +2.75
