State Oil Company of Azerbaijan: Intends to resume purchasing natural gas from Russia

- Elshad Nasirov, Vice President of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan, stated at the Russian Energy Week event in Moscow that the company intends to resume purchasing natural gas from Gazprom.
- Nasirov noted that Socar had previously bought gas from Gazprom and subsequently supplied natural gas to this Russian enterprise.
- Azerbaijan is willing to utilize its national pipeline capacity to assist in the transportation of Russian natural gas to Iran.
- Nasirov later added that there is currently no definite plan regarding the purchase quantities and scheduling.
