Lilly Says Taltz-Zepbound Combination Delivers Broader Biomarker Changes in Adults With Psoriasis, Obesity
MT newswire2026/10/09 11:3307:33 AM EDT, 10/09/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Eli Lilly (LLY) said Friday that new data from a phase 3b clinical trial showing broader changes in psoriasis-related and metabolic biomarkers when Taltz and Zepbound were used together, compared with Taltz alone in adults with moderate-to-severe plaque psoriasis and obesity or overweight, with at least one additional weight-related condition. The study examined circulating proteins and gene expression in the blood, the company said. At week 36, changes in psoriasis-specific, immune and metabolic biomarkers in both treatment groups were consistent with the known biological effects of the medicines when used for their approved indications, Lilly said. Taltz and Zepbound used together was associated with broader biomarker responses than Taltz alone as early as week 12. The study previously showed that the combination provided superior skin clearance and clinically meaningful weight reduction compared with Taltz alone at the week 36 primary endpoint.
