Paxos has added XRP to its Crypto Brokerage platform, expanding regulated access to one of the largest cryptocurrencies. Institutional partners can now offer XRP trading and custody through Paxos APIs using the XRP Ledger. The expansion gives financial companies another route into crypto without requiring them to build dedicated infrastructure.
Significantly, Paxos Crypto Brokerage combines trading, custody, settlement, and API services within one platform. Banks, fintech companies, and broker-dealers can integrate these services into their existing products.
XRP has circulated since 2012 and now appears across more than 8.1 million wallets. Moreover, its large market capitalization makes it a significant addition to Paxos’ growing asset lineup.
Paxos operates as a national trust bank under oversight from the U.S. Office of the Comptroller of the Currency. The company also maintains regulatory licenses in Finland and Singapore.
Additionally, major financial platforms already use Paxos infrastructure for cryptocurrency services. Its network includes PayPal, Venmo, Interactive Brokers, Charles Schwab, and Mercado Libre.
Paxos has steadily expanded its supported cryptocurrency lineup throughout 2026. The company now supports roughly 25 to 29 assets after starting the year near 12.
Consequently, XRP strengthens that growing selection as Paxos targets leading cryptocurrencies by market capitalization. Each addition undergoes compliance review before receiving platform support.
However, XRP remains under market pressure despite the expansion. XRP trades near $1.42 after declining more than 5% during the past day.
