Cardano, XRP, Zcash, and Sui show key support and resistance shifts

Cardano, XRP, Zcash, and Sui each entered critical technical phases as traders closely monitor support and resistance markers that could shape the direction of their next major moves.

Cardano holds support after breakout

Cardano (ADA) recently broke above longstanding resistance, delivering one of its strongest technical performances in recent months. ADA moved decisively past the $0.265 September high and trades around $0.275, supported by a large daily gain that propelled it clear of the major moving average at $0.24.

After the breakout, ADA established a structure favoring buyers, with higher lows since August and upward-turning short-term moving averages beneath price action. Trading volume expanded during the rally, adding weight to the bullish view.

Technical analysts now point to $0.28 as immediate resistance. A move beyond this level could leave ADA facing little overhead pressure until the psychological $0.30 barrier, followed by further resistance at $0.32.

The RSI, a momentum indicator, is nearing the upper end of its range but has not reached a level associated with exhaustion. Downside risk emerges if ADA falls under $0.255, with major support at $0.24. A sustained drop below this value would undermine the breakout and increase the likelihood of a bull trap for investors.

Coin Current Price Major Support Key Resistance
Cardano (ADA) $0.275 $0.24 $0.28 / $0.30 / $0.32
XRP $1.52 $1.45 $1.60 / $1.65 / $1.70 / $1.80
Zcash (ZEC) $1,330 $1,300 $1,400 / $1,450 / $1,600 / $1,700
Sui (SUI) $1.22 $1.14 $1.25 / $1.30 / $1.35 / $1.40

XRP consolidates below key barrier

XRP trades near $1.52 after a strong rally in September. The token, developed by Ripple, remains in a bullish pattern but continues to consolidate below the $1.60 to $1.65 resistance band.

Despite not breaking higher, XRP sits above both short-term and long-term moving averages, with key near-term support at $1.45. Resistance remains firm just below $1.65, reinforced by repeated intraday selling pressure. Breaking through this level could allow a run toward $1.70 and then $1.80.

XRP’s price structure shows sideways movement above support, and only a sustained fall below $1.45 would threaten the bullish case.

Should support at $1.45 fail, analysts point to a potential retracement toward $1.38 to $1.40. However, the current range-bound behavior is viewed as consolidation above recently reclaimed ground, not a reversal of the longer-term trend.

Zcash correction holds at key level

Zcash (ZEC), a privacy-oriented cryptocurrency, pulled back sharply from its September peak near $1,700, currently trading close to $1,330. Despite the swift decline, the core technical structure holds as long as ZEC defends the crucial $1,300 support area.

The $1,280 to $1,320 region has served as a support platform through repeated tests, also aligning with a rising moving average. Momentum indicators show a reduction in buying pressure, with the RSI cooling to neutral levels, suggesting overheating has subsided.

A sustained recovery above $1,400 would signal renewed bullish intent, with $1,450 and $1,600–$1,700 as potential targets. If ZEC dips decisively below $1,300, support between $1,150 and $1,200 could come into play.

Zcash is managed by the Electric Coin Company, which promotes privacy-focused payment solutions using zero-knowledge cryptography.

Sui maintains breakout gains

Sui (SUI) consolidated its rally, sustaining most September gains and trading around $1.22. In contrast to ZEC, SUI saw only minor pullbacks after moving up from below $0.75.

Trading has stabilized between $1.14 and $1.28, with buyers often appearing near $1.15. Renewed attempts to breach $1.25-$1.30 resistance could open the path toward $1.35 and $1.40. RSI readings hover above 60, reflecting ongoing momentum without signaling overbought levels.

The Sui network, designed to support decentralized applications, benefited indirectly from renewed activity in DeFi and a surge of on-chain capital spurred by launches like Robinhood’s DeFi integration. Broader liquidity across crypto networks continues to drive value rotation into projects like SUI.

Improved liquidity and DeFi participation on Sui have supported the recent repricing of SUI, as capital rotates within the digital asset market.

After Toshiba reported news of HDD production expansion, Morgan Stanley turned more bullish rather than bearish.

Morgan Stanley’s research indicates that the market has seriously overestimated Toshiba’s expansion scale — the doubling of capacity at its Philippines plant over two years translates to an annualized growth rate of about 30%, which is similar to the overall industry supply growth rate and far lower than demand growth. More importantly, channel checks show that Seagate and Western Digital have no intention of following suit with capacity expansion, and there are no signs of loosening in industry pricing.

Published exclusively on Dow Jones Newswires at 4:20 ET, 12:20 ET and 16:50 ET. 0637 GMT - SK Innovation is likely to benefit from higher lubricant base oil prices, LS Securities analyst K.H. Chung says. The South Korean refiner is a global leader in premium lubricant base oils, producing about 80,000 barrels of Group III base oils a day, Chung writes in a note. She expects the supply shortage of lubricant base oils to persist for more than a year. Tight supply of kerosene and diesel and wider refining margins could also continue to boost the company's earnings, she adds. Its Kulai and Sedenak West hubs offer 2.4GW of potential data-center capacity, while its AI-GPU capacity could scale to 100MW or more and support a new services business. The procurement of seven gas turbines totaling 5.25GW also positions YTL for power-generation growth and supports its expanding data-center pipeline, he reckons. Higher water tariffs and planned treatment plants at its unit Ranhill Utilities should support earnings as Johor's water demand rises, he adds. Hong Leong raises its target price to 8.08 ringgit from 7.58 ringgit and keeps a buy rating. Shares are 1.4% higher at 5.62 ringgit.
