Dogecoin (DOGE) Breaks 14-Month Pause With New Golden Cross: What Comes After?

Dogecoin (DOGE) Breaks 14-Month Pause With New Golden Cross: What Comes After?

UTodayUToday2026/10/05 13:06

Dogecoin has completed a golden cross on its daily chart, the first such signal in the last 14 months.

The daily chart shows a golden cross, with the MA 50 crossing above the MA 200. Dogecoin has had multiple golden cross signals on the hourly timeframes, but the last golden cross on the daily chart was in August 2025.

On September 13, 2025, Dogecoin traded to a high of $0.3 mere weeks after the golden cross formation. This bullish momentum was short-lived, however. Dogecoin saw selling pressure in the following months.

Dogecoin fell to a low of $0.09 during the October 10 flash crash from a high of $0.255 as the crypto market suffered a historic $20 billion liquidation.

Dogecoin (DOGE) daily chart flashed a death cross signal in November 2025 and was in months of downtrend before the recent golden cross.

What's next for the Dogecoin golden cross?

Dogecoin's daily golden cross is taking place as the price has begun to recover and fundamentals have been positive.

Dogecoin's rebound began from a low of $0.06 in mid-August 2026. The rally flipped key barrier levels, including the daily MA 50, which limited Dogecoin's price since the start of 2026, with the price only seeing a brief break above it in January and May 2026.

DOGE's price rebound also surpassed the daily MA 200 for the first time since October 2025, preceding the golden cross formation.

In the past week, DogeOS launched a public test network for Ethereum-style trading, lending, and other applications using DOGE, an attempt to give Dogecoin holders more ways to use their coins beyond payments and price speculation.

Along similar lines, Metallicus launched DogecoinVM, which bridges Dogecoin to the Metal network. DogecoinVM is described as a DOGE-compatible ledger on the Metal Blockchain, making Dogecoin 300x faster with instant finality.

Dogecoin was rising alongside the golden cross, up 3.88% in the last 24 hours to $0.0962. The next test for bulls lies at $0.106, where Dogecoin's rise paused on September 22. First, it needs to decisively break the $0.095 and $0.098 levels. A clear breakout past $0.106 might target $0.12 and $0.16 next.
