Injective ETF Could Arrive Before 2027, Says CEO Eric Chen
- Eric Chen expects a U.S. Injective ETF launch before 2027.
- 21Shares and Canary Capital both updated their SEC filings in September.
- Injective is expanding U.S. licensing and institutional tokenization infrastructure.
Injective CEO Eric Chen expects an Injective ETF to reach the U.S. market before 2027. Two applications already sit with the Securities and Exchange Commission. Both issuers filed amended registration statements in September, showing continued progress. The development comes as Injective expands licensing and institutional infrastructure in the United States.
Injective ETF Applications Advance Through SEC Review Process
According to The Block, the 21Shares Injective ETF and Canary Staked INJ ETF remain the two active proposals. 21Shares filed an amended S-1 on September 18 for its Nasdaq-listed TINJ fund. The product would hold INJ directly and leave staking decisions to the issuer.
Canary Capital also updated its proposed staked fund with Amendment No. 3. The Canary product would trade on Cboe BZX under the ticker INJS. Its filing proposes holding spot INJ while staking at least 90% of U.S. institutional holdings.
Chen said the Injective ETF timeline now looks faster than he initially expected. He did not provide a specific launch date. However, he said waiting until 2027 appears too distant based on current progress.
Injective ETF Push Expands With Licensing and Tokenization
Injective Institutional Services became an SEC-registered transfer agent in August. Chen described that registration as the first step in a wider U.S. licensing strategy. He said additional licenses remain under development.
Injective is also expanding its regulatory position outside the United States. The project completed and published an INJ MiCA white paper in Europe. It is now listed in the European Securities and Markets Authority interim register.
