October 5 – According to reports, the United States will provide a $4.2 billions loan to Vistra (link) to boost its nuclear power capacity. Following this news, shares of Vistra (VST.N) surged over 6%, closing at $148.48. According to a person familiar with the matter, Energy Secretary Chris Wright is expected to announce this loan on Monday at Vistra's nuclear power plant on the shores of Lake Erie in Ohio.
