01:16 PM EDT, 09/29/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Healthcare stocks declined Tuesday afternoon, with the NYSE Healthcare Index falling 1% and the State Street Health Care Select Sector SPDR ETF (XLV) down 0.8%. The iShares Biotechnology ETF (IBB) was 0.5% lower. In corporate news, Summit Therapeutics (SMMT) shares rose past 6% after AstraZeneca (AZN) agreed to invest $2 billion in the clinical-stage oncology company and collaborate on trials combining their experimental cancer drugs. AstraZeneca shares were shedding 1.2%.
