Robinhood CEO: US SEC Approves Tesla Retail Investor Voting Plan, Pushing for Retail Participation in Corporate Governance
BlockBeats news, September 29: Robinhood CEO Vlad Tenev stated that the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) today issued a "no-action letter" to Tesla, clearing the way for a voting initiative that empowers retail investors. This is what equity should look like. When millions of people hold shares in a public company, they should be able to vote their shares more easily.
Currently, Robinhood has helped multiple companies engage directly with shareholders, offering messaging, retail voting initiatives, and real-time earnings Q&A that can be participated in directly within the app. More features will be launched in the future.
