Fairfax India Intends to Make a Normal Course Issuer Bid

08:49 AM EDT, 09/28/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Fairfax India Holdings (FIH-U.TO) received Toronto Stock Exchange approval to renew a normal course issuer bid for its subordinate voting shares effective Sept. 30, it said on Monday. Over 12 months ending Sept. 29, 2027, the company can buy back and cancel up to 5.49-million subordinate voting shares, about 10% of its public float. Fairfax India had outstanding 104.2-million subordinate voting shares as at Sept. 16. Under its expiring NCIB the company repurchased 1.07 million of an allowed 5.55-million shares. Shares of the company closed down CA$0.10, or 0.6% to CA$17.00 on Friday on the Toronto Stock Exchange.
