UK government bond yields rise, attracting capital attention

⑴Ebury analysts indicated that UK government bond (gilt) yields are at the higher end among developed economies' sovereign debt, and are expected to outperform peer developed market bonds. ⑵The market is awaiting the UK budget plan on October 28 to confirm the government's commitment to fiscal discipline. ⑶On the board, the yield on 10-year UK gilt rose by 1.1 basis points, last reported at 5.401%.
