Veteran Investor Says XRP Breakout Is Loading. Here’s the Signal

TimesTabloidTimesTabloid2026/09/28 06:03

In his video, Digital Asset Investor highlighted the scale of the buying activity directly. “XRP whales just scooped up $470 million plus XRP in five days,” he said, before adding “breakout loading” to signal his view on where the market may be heading.

Digital Asset Investor has a large, engaged audience and is known for his bullish stance on XRP. This post shows he is confident in the asset and expects big things. The question now is how the whale activity can help XRP grow.

The Post That Caught His Attention

The chart attached to the post tells its own story. Daily accumulation figures rose consistently throughout the five-day window. On Day 1, approximately 60 million XRP were added. By Day 5, that figure had risen to 130 million. The buying did not plateau. It accelerated, each day building on the last.

Supply, Demand, and What the Data Suggests

Accumulation at this scale reduces available circulating supply. When large holders absorb this volume in a compressed timeframe, it creates upward pressure on price as supply tightens against demand. The pattern here was not sporadic. It was sustained and escalating, indicating a deliberate positioning by XRP whales.

XRP currently trades at around $1.52, up roughly 10% over the past week. The whale activity coincided with that recovery, suggesting large holders moved aggressively while prices remained below recent highs.

The Case for a Breakout

XRP has seen increased activity over the past few days. 33 million tokens were recently traded within a minute. This implies the market is now paying attention to XRP.

Historically, whale accumulation at this pace precedes upward price movement. Many market participants currently expect a breakout, and large holders tend to absorb supply ahead of anticipated demand, positioning before retail participation increases.

Kpler data: Oil flow in the Strait of Hormuz returns to pre-war levels, international oil prices decline in early trading.

(1) According to a report by shipping data analysis firm Kpler, crude oil outflows from the Strait of Hormuz have returned to pre-war levels. Affected by this news, international crude oil prices declined in early trading. Brent crude oil remains above $100, quoted at $101.20 per barrel, while WTI crude oil is at $89.73 per barrel. Both major benchmarks actually recorded gains compared to last Friday’s closing prices, indicating that some traders are waiting for solid evidence of shipping improvements. (2) Preliminary data from Kpler show that from September 27 to 29, the daily crude oil flow through the Strait of Hormuz ranged between 19.5 million and 22.5 million barrels, roughly double that of a month ago. Despite ongoing attacks on Saudi energy infrastructure and oil tankers in the strait, crude oil transportation volumes have still recovered. (3) Kpler previously disclosed that shipping flow through the strait was still below the ten-day moving average, which had caused concerns about supply among energy market participants. Even after tanker attack incidents, some market participants believe the actual impact of the attacks on oil prices is limited. (4) The data also show that liquefied natural gas (LNG) flows through the Strait of Hormuz have similarly returned to pre-war levels. QatarEnergy remains under force majeure on exports, and though it is purchasing LNG spot cargoes to fulfill long-term contracts, emergency procurement alone makes it difficult for the country to restore LNG exports to pre-war levels.
