Metro Says Striking Laval Workers Ratify New Collective Agreement

04:44 PM EDT, 09/24/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Metro (MRU.TO) said after trade on Thursday unionized employees at its produce distribution center in Laval, Quebec, transportation and head office, have ratified a new collective agreement. The tentative agreement was reached on Sept. 17. The agreement affects employees who had been on strike since March 30. The new agreement will run for five and a half years. Details of the new contract were not disclosed. Metro shares closed down CA$0.51, to CA$89.69, on the Toronto Stock Exchange.
