Celanese Raises Prices for Key Engineered Materials

04:32 PM EDT, 09/24/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Celanese (CE) raised the prices of its ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene engineered products by $0.30 per kilogram in Asia. Celanese also raised prices for its polyoxymethylene materials by $0.30 per kilogram in Asia and 0.30 euros ($0.34) per kilogram in the EMEA region. In a statement Thursday, the company attributed the increases to "market dynamics and global supply chain disruptions." The price changes are effective on all shipments on or after Oct. 8.
