Absci Expects to Initiate Mid-Stage Trial of ABS-201 for Endometriosis in Mid-2027

08:18 AM EDT, 09/24/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Absci (ABSI) expects to initiate its global, multi-center mid-stage clinical trial evaluating ABS-201 for endometriosis in mid-2027, the biopharmaceutical company said on Thursday. The study is designed as a dose-ranging trial, with endpoint including reductions in dysmenorrhea and non-menstrual pelvic pain as reported via patient-reported measures, the company said. Absci said it expects to recruit about 150 patients with surgically-diagnosed endometriosis and moderate to severe endometriosis-associated pain, from 10 or more countries, subject to protocol finalization and regulatory clearance. Shares of the company were down 1.5% in recent Thursday premarket activity.
