Grail's Cancer Test Recommended for Approval by US FDA Committee

04:27 AM EDT, 09/24/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Grail's (GRAL) Galleri multi-cancer early detection test's premarket approval application received a favorable vote from the Molecular and Clinical Genetics Devices Panel of the Medical Devices Advisory Committee of the US Food and Drug Administration, the company said Wednesday. The committee's 10 voting members unanimously approved Galleri's safety, six-to-four in favor of its efficacy, and seven-to-two with one abstention for the benefit-risk profile for detecting multiple cancer in adults aged 50 years or older, the company said The test is designed to detect cancer-specific methylation patterns yielded by various types of cancer before symptoms appear, it said.
