03:57 AM EDT, 09/24/2026 (MT Newswires) -- (Updates to add Microsoft's comment in the fifth paragraph.) Microsoft (MSFT) is offering corporate customers discounts of 30% to 50% on Copilot AI subscriptions if they commit to large numbers of seats and usage-based payments, The Information reported, citing a person familiar with the plans. The discounts could begin as soon as October and coincide with the planned launch of a revamped Copilot app this week that will combine AI coding and agent features, according to the report. It added that some features will carry additional usage-based fees. Microsoft plans to offer discounts of about 30% for customers buying more than 1,000 seats, rising to 50% for customers with more than 10,000 seats, The Information reported. Microsoft said its Copilot business model is expanding to combine seat-based subscriptions with usage-based revenue, according to a company spokesperson quoted by The Information. Microsoft told MT Newswires that it has nothing further to share. (Market Chatter news is derived from conversations with market professionals globally.
