Muse Has Suddenly Changed the Trading Narrative Around Meta

Meta has emerged as one of the strongest-performing mega-cap tech stocks in September, with the key catalyst being the September 8 launch of its personal AI agent, Muse. The app reached roughly 2.8 million downloads within just 12 days and quickly climbed to the top of the U.S. App Store rankings. Since Muse was launched, Meta shares have gained more than 20%, including an 11.3% single-day jump on September 21, showing how quickly investors have started reassessing Meta’s position in consumer AI.
That shift is particularly important. Over the past two years, discussions around Meta’s AI strategy have focused largely on massive data-center spending, GPU purchases, and improvements in advertising recommendations. Muse gives investors a much more direct commercialization path: Meta may be able to turn AI from a back-end productivity and recommendation tool into a standalone consumer-facing business.

3.6 Billion Users Could Be Muse’s Biggest Competitive Advantage

Muse can already handle tasks such as email management, shopping, travel bookings, and certain transaction-related activities. Meta currently offers a free version alongside $20 and $100 monthly subscription tiers. Mark Zuckerberg has also indicated that Meta eventually plans to charge small transaction fees when Muse completes purchases or other commercial activities.
Jefferies estimates that if Muse eventually reaches one billion users and converts around 3% of them into paying subscribers, annual revenue could reach roughly $10.8 billion by 2027.
The more important advantage, however, is Meta’s distribution network. As of the second quarter, Meta’s family of apps had reached 3.6 billion daily active users. If Muse is gradually integrated into Instagram, WhatsApp, Facebook, and Meta’s hardware ecosystem, it can reach an enormous installed user base without having to build a completely new distribution channel from scratch.
The latest Meta Connect event reinforced this direction. Meta announced deeper integration of Muse into its AI glasses, allowing users to perform tasks such as bookings, shopping, and exercise planning through voice commands. The company also introduced the $349 Ray-Ban Meta Audio and other next-generation smart-glasses products. This suggests Muse is increasingly being positioned as a unified AI interface spanning software, hardware, and real-world interactions.

Massive AI Spending Now Needs New Revenue Validation

Muse is especially important because Meta’s AI investment cycle has become increasingly aggressive. In the second quarter, revenue reached $60.8 billion, up 28% year over year. Ad impressions increased 14%, while the average price per ad rose 12%, showing that the core advertising business remains strong. At the same time, quarterly capital expenditure reached $31.1 billion, while Meta expects full-year 2026 capex of between $130 billion and $145 billion.
This means the market is gradually shifting its focus from whether AI can improve advertising efficiency to whether Meta’s enormous AI infrastructure investment can generate entirely new revenue streams.
Muse offers that possibility. Subscription revenue, transaction fees, shopping-related commissions, and future business services could all become additional growth engines beyond advertising.
The risks are also clear. Muse’s user growth has been rapid, but there is still limited evidence regarding paid conversion, long-term retention, and actual transaction volume. Amazon has already restricted Muse’s access to its shopping platform, showing that AI agents may face resistance once they begin controlling valuable consumer purchase flows. Meta has also tested human-assisted support for some Muse phone-based tasks, suggesting that agent reliability in more complex real-world activities still has room to improve.

Meta Enters a High-Level Consolidation Phase Near $740

On the technical side, META has entered a period of high-level consolidation following its sharp September 21 rally. The stock closed at $744.10 on September 23, up 1.02%, after reaching an intraday high of $763.90 and setting a new 52-week high.
In the near term, the $760–765 area has become the first major breakout zone, while $730–740 is the nearest support range. If the stock pulls back further, the $700 area will become an important level for assessing whether the broader breakout structure remains intact.
Muse has already triggered the first round of expectation-driven rerating. The next stage will depend on whether Meta can produce stronger evidence around user growth, paid conversion, and transaction activity. If Muse can gradually translate engagement into revenue, Meta’s valuation framework could continue expanding from “advertising platform plus AI spending” toward “advertising platform plus consumer AI gateway.”

$100 Oil Ignites BP (BP.US) Revaluation Expectations! JPMorgan Calls for "Overweight"

From a cash flow perspective, as long as production and costs are controllable, high oil prices can expand the operating cash surplus of oil and gas producers, providing support for debt repayment, dividends, and stock buybacks. This is also why Wall Street financial giants such as JPMorgan, Goldman Sachs, and Morgan Stanley have recently been frequently issuing bullish research reports to energy giants.
