Microsoft to Invest More Than $10 Billion in Middle East by 2030

12:58 PM EDT, 09/23/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Microsoft (MSFT) said Wednesday it plans to invest more than $10 billion in capital and operating expenses on cloud and AI infrastructure across the Middle East by 2030. Microsoft's new framework initially focuses on Kuwait, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates. Local partnerships will support responsible AI adoption, sovereign-ready cloud services, Arabic and multilingual AI, and the use of AI to improve services for citizens and businesses.
