Sunrun, SPAN Expand Partnership to Support Distributed AI Compute Capacity

10:10 AM EDT, 09/23/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Sunrun (RUN) said Wednesday it expanded its partnership with SPAN to combine home solar and battery systems with distributed computing infrastructure aimed at increasing artificial intelligence compute capacity. Under the partnership, Sunrun will provide home energy products, financing, installation and service support to help power SPAN's XFRA distributed data center platform. The companies plan to work with homebuilders to begin deployments in new residential communities in Texas and other specified markets, with the goal of integrating distributed AI infrastructure into new developments, Sunrun said.
