CANADA FX DEBT - Canadian dollar weakens, benchmark yield climbs
Reuters2026/09/23 13:00The Canadian dollar weakened against the greenback on Wednesday, and the yield on benchmark government debt climbed.
The loonie CAD= was trading 0.2% lower at C$1.4083 to the greenback, or 71.01 U.S. cents, after trading in a range of 1.4058 to 1.4094.
Canadian government 10-year bond yields CA10YT=RR rose 3 basis points to 3.86%. The yield on similar U.S. government benchmark debt rose to 4.9901%.
U.S. November crude CLc1 futures rose 54 cents to $91.06 a barrel on Wednesday.
