Viasat Secures $42 Million Marine Corps Task Order for Multi-Orbit Connectivity

08:32 AM EDT, 09/23/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Viasat's (VSAT) Inmarsat Government unit has secured an initial $42 million task order under a seven-year US Marine Corps satellite communications contract with a ceiling of $307 million, the company said Wednesday. The contract covers fully managed global satellite services for the Marine Corps, with Viasat providing multi-orbit connectivity across L-, Ku- and Ka-bands through its satellites, terminal services and partner networks, the company said. The contract also expands Viasat's existing Marine Corps SATCOM services to support land, air and sea operations.
