Digital Realty, Assured Communications to Build Los Angeles Cable Landing Station

05:55 AM EDT, 09/23/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Digital Realty Trust (DLR) teamed up with Assured Communications to develop a cable landing station at its LAX12 data center in Los Angeles, Digital Realty said late Tuesday. The station is designed to provide subsea cable operators with a turnkey offer for landing and powering their systems, as well as an access to Los Angeles connectivity through interconnections with terrestrial networks. The project is already in development and is expected to start supporting cables in 2028, Digital Realty said.
