Huntington Ingalls Expands Massachusetts Unmanned Systems Production Facility

05:01 PM EDT, 09/22/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Huntington Ingalls Industries (HII) said late Tuesday it expanded its unmanned systems production campus in Pocasset, Massachusetts, adding 10,000 square feet to its existing 40,000-square-foot manufacturing facility. The expansion increases capacity to build and integrate unmanned and autonomous maritime systems, including the REMUS family of unmanned underwater vehicles and ROMULUS unmanned surface vessels, the company said. HII said the added space will also support production of the US Navy's Lionfish small unmanned undersea vehicle, which is based on the company's commercial REMUS 300 platform and is currently in production.
