IBM, Marist University Launch AI Research Incubator

09:23 AM EDT, 09/22/2026 (MT Newswires) -- IBM (IBM) and Marist University said Tuesday they are launching an artificial intelligence incubator on the university's Poughkeepsie, New York campus. IBM and Marist said they are broadeneing their existing partnership based on enterprise computing and computer science education to include AI interdisciplinary research. Initial projects include running synthetic marketing campaigns to stress test whether guardrails remain effective when AI agents pursue aggressive or unethical tactics and using quantum optimization algorithms to analyze financial data. Shares of IBM were up 1% pre-bell.
