Hammond Power Solutions to Expand US Manufacturing Capacity

07:59 AM EDT, 09/22/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Hammond Power Solutions (HPS-A.TO) plans to expand its transformer production capacity with a long-term lease of a new facility in Forth Worth, Texas, the company said Tuesday. The facility could support annual manufacturing capacity worth 400 million Canadian dollars. Production is expected to begin in the fourth quarter of 2027, Hammond said. Hammond said it will spend about CA$50 million to commission the initial production phase. "Demand for transformers continues to increase, particularly from large projects tied to data centres, electrification and power infrastructure," Chief Executive Officer Adrian Thomas said. "The Fort Worth facility gives us additional capacity in the U.S. to improve responsiveness, support shorter delivery distances for certain customers, and help us continue to provide the reliability and service our customers expect from HPS," Thomas added.
