CANADA FX DEBT - Canadian dollar weakens, benchmark yield slips
Reuters2026/09/21 19:00The Canadian dollar weakened against the greenback on Monday, and the yield on benchmark government debt slipped.
The loonie CAD= was trading 0.4% lower at C$1.4037 to the greenback, or 71.24 U.S. cents, after trading in a range of 1.3984 to 1.4038.
Canadian government 10-year bond yields CA10YT=RR fell 3.3 basis points to 3.845%. The yield on similar U.S. government benchmark debt fell to 4.9633%.
U.S. October crude CLc1 futures fell $4.52 to settle at $95.78 a barrel on Monday.
