Paramount Reaches Settlement With State Attorneys General in Warner Bros. Merger Case

01:52 PM EDT, 09/21/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Paramount Skydance (PSKY) has reached a settlement with a coalition of 12 state attorneys general, resolving the states' lawsuit alleging that the proposed merger of Paramount and Warner Bros. Discovery (WBD) would harm competition, New Jersey Attorney General Jennifer Davenport said in a release Monday. The settlement, which still requires court approval, includes a five-year court-enforceable commitment to increase film output, an additional commitment of at least $1.5 billion to boost domestic film production, a $47.5 million fund for merger-impacted workers and restrictions on how the company deals in cable negotiations, Davenport said.
