01:11 PM EDT, 09/21/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Tech stocks were higher Monday afternoon, with the State Street Technology Select Sector SPDR ETF (XLK) rising 2.4% and the State Street SPDR S&P Semiconductor ETF (XSD) climbing 3.3%. The Philadelphia Semiconductor index gained 3.8%. In corporate news, Priority Technology (PRTH) shares surged 33% after the company agreed to be acquired by an investor group led by its CEO Thomas Priore in an all-cash deal for an enterprise value of about $1.6 billion.
