Diana Shipping's New DSI Polaris Charter to Generate $10.4 Million in Revenue

10:19 AM EDT, 09/21/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Diana Shipping (DSX) said its new time-charter contract for the Ultramax vessel DSI Polaris is expected to generate about $10.4 million in gross revenue over the minimum scheduled period. The company said Monday it entered into the charter with Dai An Ocean Shipping at a gross rate of $18,000 a day, less a 5% commission, with the employment expected to begin Friday and run through at least May 1, 2028, and up to June 30, 2028. The vessel is currently chartered to Cargill Ocean Transportation at $12,250 a day, less a 4.75% commission. Price: 3.05, Change: -0.06, Percent Change: -1.93
