Amazon to Invest $1.9 Billion in Delivery Service Partner Program in 2027

09:34 AM EDT, 09/21/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Amazon.com (AMZN) plans to invest an additional $1.9 billion in its Delivery Service Partner program in 2027 to support higher delivery associate pay and new safety and AI-supported technologies, the company said Monday. The investment is expected to help raise national average delivery associate earnings by about $1 to nearly $24 per hour, the company said. Amazon will expand its Smart Delivery Glasses program, targeting more than 20,000 devices in the field by the end of 2027, and commit $70 million over five years to community initiatives led by Delivery Service Partners, it added.
