Precigen's AdenoVerse Receives FDA Platform Technology Designation

09:13 AM EDT, 09/21/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Precigen (PGEN) said Monday the US Food and Drug Administration has granted platform technology designation to its AdenoVerse immunotherapeutic platform. The designzation reflects the platform's potential to address a broad range of indications, including HPV-positive malignancies such as head and neck, cervical, anal, vulvar and vaginal cancers, the company said. The AdenoVerse platform was used in the company's first commercial product, Papzimeos, a treatment for adults with recurrent respiratory papillomatosis, Precigen said. The FDA designation enables the company to use data from the Papzimeos program to potentially accelerate future AdenoVerse programs by utilizing existing knowledge to support marketing applications, the company said. Precigen shares were up 0.8% in premarket activity.
