05:31 AM EDT, 09/18/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Boeing (BA) is expected to receive an order for about 10 787-10 Dreamliner jets from Malaysia Aviation Group, as its Malaysia Airlines unit seeks to renew its long-haul fleet, Bloomberg News reported Friday, citing people familiar with the matter. The US planemaker edged out its European rival, Airbus, by offering earlier delivery slots beginning in 2031, the unnamed sources told the news outlet. Boeing, Airbus and Malaysia Aviation didn't immediately respond to MT Newswires' requests for comment. (Market Chatter news is derived from conversations with market professionals globally. Volkswagen plunges! Profit forecast for 2026 significantly lowered, Porsche writes down €6 billion

Volkswagen expects the Group's operating sales return in 2026 to reach a maximum of only 1%, far below the previously projected 4% to 5.5%. The company anticipates that special items will impact full-year operating profit by about 10 billion euros, with around 6 billion euros attributable to non-cash impairments of goodwill in Porsche's operations. Increased competitiveness from Chinese automakers and accelerated consumer demand shift toward pure electric vehicles are also significant pressures facing Volkswagen. As a result of this news, Volkswagen's share price closed down 5.6% on Friday.
