Reuters survey: Most economists expect the Federal Reserve to raise interest rates to 3.75%-4.00% on September 16

According to a Reuters survey, 86 out of 101 economists expect the Federal Reserve to raise the federal funds rate to 3.75%-4.00% on September 16 (in the September 9 survey, 65 out of 93 economists expected rates to remain unchanged in September). Of 70 economists, 37 expect the Federal Reserve to raise rates at least twice by the end of March 2027 (in the September 9 survey, 21 out of 82 economists had the same expectation).
