U.S. Secretary of Energy Wright recently made a statement regarding the situation in the Strait of Hormuz, reducing expectations of substantial progress between the U.S. and Iran on this critical waterway. Wright specifically cautioned crude oil market traders not to have excessive expectations for a breakthrough resolution concerning the Strait of Hormuz. Currently, Iran is planning to promote an agreement involving transit rules for this key global energy transport route to other Gulf countries. Wright also pointed out that the market still relies on alternative transportation solutions to ensure stable energy delivery. According to his estimates, such alternative routes can still transport 10 million barrels of crude oil and related petroleum products per day. Regarding disputes between the U.S. and Iran, the U.S. has demanded that Iran dismantle its centrifuge project and halt uranium enrichment activities. Wright stated that the U.S. is capable of reallocating fuel supply from overseas markets, and if Iran meets these requirements, it can "rejoin the international community and create a peaceful and prosperous development environment for its own people."
